
Jarosewycz Family Scholarship
Apply by August 3, 2026Established by CREES donor Peter Jarosewycz, the Jarosewycz Family Scholarship is awarded to students engaged in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REES) and have strong interests in Ukrainian Studies. Two KU students are eligible to receive a $750 award for the fall semester.
The award is paid directly to KU Student Account Services and is applied towards the tuition of Ukrainian language classes. Any KU student is eligible, and all are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to students pursuing a REES concentration in the Department of Slavic, German and Eurasian Studies. No previous knowledge of a foreign language is required. Incoming Freshmen will be given special priority.
To receive the award, students must:
Enroll in Elementary or Intermediate Ukrainian (UKRA 104 & UKRA 108 OR UKRA 204 & UKRA 208)
Commit to enrolling in further Ukrainian classes.
